Bacon Adhesives - Royal Adhesives & Sealants
Bacon Adhesives, a division of CASS Polymers and a portfolio company of Shoreview Industries, has been acquired by Royal Adhesives & Sealants. Grace Matthews advised CASS Polymers and Shoreview Industries on this transaction. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Based in Irvine, California, Bacon is a developer and manufacturer of highly specified, electrically and thermally conductive adhesives for demanding aerospace and defense, communications, avionics, satellite, and other electronics applications. Royal’s position in the aerospace & defense markets provides opportunity to enhance the long-term growth potential of Bacon. The transaction represents a positive step for Bacon’s customers and employees, and is a good outcome for the CASS Polymers shareholders, said Doug Frans, Chairman of CASS Polymers. We look forward to focusing our efforts on our specialty coatings businesses going forward. We see this as the ideal outcome for Bacon. The complementary nature of Bacon’s product line, combined with Royal’s strong sales and technical resources, will allow Bacon to thrive within Royal’s global organization, said Andy Hinz, Director at Grace Matthews.
