Akzo Nobel - Chemcraft

Akzo Nobel (Arnhem, The Netherlands) is the world’s largest coatings company. Grace Matthews has a strong, long-standing relationship with Akzo, having represented Akzo on numerous buy- and sell-side transactions over the past 10 years. Recent transactions with Akzo include its acquisition of The Flood Company and the divestiture of some of its U.S. general industrial coatings operations. Most recently, Grace Matthews assisted Akzo in strengthening its position in the North American wood coatings market through the acquisition of Chemcraft Holdings Corporation. With revenues in excess of $150 million and manufacturing and warehouse facilities across the United States, Canada, Brazil and Mexico, Chemcraft was North America’s largest privately-owned manufacturer of industrial wood coatings. Chemcraft will be integrated into Akzo’s North American Industrial Finishes business unit.
