Andrew Cardona, Director, leads buy-side and sell-side transactions, and corporate valuations in chemical and materials segments including industrial minerals, active pharmaceutical ingredients, nutraceuticals, surfactants, industrial coatings, adhesives, contract manufacturing and catalysts. With a background in finance and fixed income, he is especially skilled at the complexities surrounding corporate carve-out transactions, as well as leveraged deals and corporate valuations. Andrew also leads Grace Matthews’ analyst recruiting and training programs and is Grace Matthews’ Chief Compliance Officer. Andrew joined Grace Matthews from Prudential Private Capital, a senior debt and mezzanine provider. Based out of Prudential’s Chicago office, Andrew worked in the international corporate finance group, investing in companies based in Mediterranean Europe, Latin America and Australia, as well as the corporate workout group, restructuring troubled investments and investing in distressed securities.
Andrew received a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with an emphasis in finance and investment banking. At UW-Madison, Andrew was a student-athlete, playing on the Wisconsin Men’s soccer team, and received multiple awards & recognition, including the UW Student-Athlete Academic Excellence Award, the Arthur Ashe Jr. Award, a National Academic Award for Scholar Athletes, and was selected as an academic All-Big 10 honoree.
