Trent Myers, Vice President

Trent Myers, Chief Economist, emeritus, joined Grace Matthews in 1999, at its inception.  He has over 25 years of experience analyzing the chemical industry and advising its participants, as well as performing literally hundreds of valuations on Grace Matthews engagements.

Trent, an accomplished writer, was editor-in-chief of the Grace Matthews white paper, as well as our quarterly “Chemical Insights” newsletter.  He also authored monthly columns and numerous byline articles for many industry publications.  Trent's professionalism and work ethic remain the role model for GM's young analysts and associates, who still rely on him regularly for guidance.

Trent holds an M.B.A. degree in Finance from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.  He also holds two degrees in Art History (an M.A. from the University of Virginia, and a B.A. from the University of Georgia), and was curator at galleries and museums in New York, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.  In New York in the 1980's, Trent supplemented his modest art gallery income by driving a taxi, thereby allowing him to indulge his taste in expensive whiskey.

"Sophisticated financial modeling requires experience and ‘feel’ as well as technical skills – spreadsheet wizardry is only one part of the equation."
